Satya Chauhan Battelle
During his 35+ years with Battelle, he has managed various research programs including coal liquefaction, coal and biomass gasification, production of liquid fuels from non-petroleum sources and pollution prevention.
Dr. Chauhan got a B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India in 1968, a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland in 1973 and an MBA from The Ohio State University, Columbus in 1978.
He holds 24 U.S. and many more international patents, and has authored or co-authored more than 200 publications. He has received over 70 innovation awards, including 7 R&D 100 Awards, Battelle’s Distinguished Inventor Award, American Chemical Society’s Industrial Innovation Award and IIT Kanpur’s Distinguished Alumnus Award.
